Congratulations to Kristin and Jovan on their new baby boy, Rowan Winchester, born 2/15 at 9:16a weighing 6lbs & 14 oz. Aww!
In December, I had the pleasure of helping the new mom, Kristin, find thee perfect outfit for the couple’s maternity shoot. Now, Kristin is no stranger to fashion, in fact, she has deep roots in the fashion industry from style and lifestyle blogging, to elite fashion networking to owning her own online boutique, Kaykode X Krissy’s Klozet. Currently, Kristin has a thriving business, Her Therapy Space, where she and her team provide transformative therapy and counseling services in Washington, DC.
And Jovan, he’s dapper, charming, super sophisticated and always polished. He even has his own clothing line, Godly Affairs – check it out! Kristin and Jovan are truly a fashion-forward, godly match made in heaven.
So what do you do when you have the opportunity to style someone who basically doesn’t need a stylist? You assist them. You allow them to take the lead and most importantly, you make sure they look BOMB for their photo shoot.
Kristin is a minimalist with a distinct personal aesthetic and she makes no apologies for it.
Comfort is a priority for the new mom and she prefers to wear earth tone colors. So for the first look we selected a light brown crop top and mahogany brown jogging pants both from Zara.
The second look was a chic, caramel high-collar sleeveless ribbed dress also from Zara. All this earth tone flyness! 🤎
The Winchester’s photo shoot was a ball of fun! It reminds me how much I LOVE assisting clients with their photo shoots. Ensuring every hair is in place, every fabric of clothing in tact. It’s what I do.. it’s what I love. The Winchesters are super graceful and their love easily shone on camera.
Please join me in congratulating Kristin and Jovan on the healthy birth of Baby Rowan! To the couple: remember that children are an inheritance from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward (Psalm 127:3). We wish you much success in your parenting journey. You’ve got this!
